REQUIREMENT

The need for the installation of a fire-fighting system was part of an important project for the expansion, modification and structural improvement of 2 existing prefabricated buildings from 2010 and 2012 in Badia Polesine and an operational office located in Viadana (MN). For the adaptation to the current legislation on fire prevention, the customer has sent us its request through its own designer, illustrating its characteristics.

IDROELETTRICA’S PROPOSAL

The configuration proposed to the customer provided the Badia Polesine headquarters with a FIREBLOCK with fire pressurisation unit with two main diesel motor pumps and a pilot pump, designed for suction lift installation, made with a single impeller centrifugal pump normalised end suction, with horizontal axis of the back pull out type, with spiral pump body and independent support; axial suction and radial discharge according to UNI EN 12845:2020 10.1, The Fireblock includes double-walled, vertical, already assembled water storage, with a capacity of 450 Mc. For the Viadana operational office, however, a Fireblock with a fire pressurisation unit was proposed, equipped with a main electric pump and a pilot pump provided for suction lift installation including horizontal water storage with a capacity of 50 mc.

THE RESULT

This already assembled system has allowed the customer to have a finished fire-fighting solution without additional assembly labour costs and additional hydraulic connections, completely made according to current regulations. 
The ease of installation and maintenance and a complete fire-fighting system were the ideal solution for our customer.
