Case study: RSA Residenza Paradiso
NEED
As part of the expansion and transformation of the "Residenza Paradiso" social and health structure of the former Paradiso Residence in Lozzolo, along road 142, with transfer to Gattinara in via Fiume Sesia n. 4, there is a request for a fire-fighting system that could protect the entire structure consisting of two floors with the following capacity: two nuclei of 20 beds + 4 beds of "ready reception" each (one located on the ground floor and one on the first floor) , for a total of n. 48 beds in the nursing home (RSA) for self-sufficient and non-self-sufficient elderly people.
The project also included the construction of a gym equipped with equipment and machinery essential for gentle gymnastics and functional rehabilitation as well as a 750 m2 roof garden.

IDROELETTRICA’S PROPOSAL
A FIREBOX vtp fire-fighting system (with VTP vertical pumps) has been proposed for this need. The choice to use this type of system has allowed us to create an UNDERLAY hydraulic system, as preferred by UNI EN 12845 / 10.6.1. In this case there is no limitation to the usable depth within the water reserve.
THE RESULT
This type of installation makes maintenance interventions easier as the FIREBOX VTPs are made with the roof that can be completely opened.
