The question is valid, but the answer cannot be generalized: it is a regulatory issue, and it varies depending on the specific situation. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The key point is to distinguish <strong>the general rule<\/strong> (for exclusive local use) from <strong>the exceptions permitted<\/strong> under well-defined conditions.<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"regola-generale-locale-ad-uso-esclusivo-secondo-uni-en-12845-2015\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">General rule: room for exclusive use in accordance with UNI EN 12845:2015<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>UNI EN 12845:2015<\/strong> stipulates that <strong>pump room spaces must be for exclusive use<\/strong> (see <strong>section 10.3.1<\/strong>). In practice, this requirement <strong>excludes the presence of any other components or materials<\/strong>: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>from the pump-set;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>from its accessories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, if you are operating in accordance with UNI EN 12845, the idea of placing an autoclave (or other equipment) in the same room conflicts with the principle<strong>of exclusive use<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"eccezione-possibile-quando-si-applica-la-uni-10779-2014\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Possible exception: when UNI 10779:2014 is applied<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, there is one case in which the text cited allows for a <strong>non-exclusive<\/strong> application: when the pump-sets are used <strong>solely to supply networks designed and constructed in accordance with UNI 10779:2014<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this scenario, <strong>UNI 10779<\/strong> itself (see <strong>section A.1.1.<\/strong>) stipulates that, <strong>if it is not possible to locate<\/strong> fire pumps <strong>in dedicated rooms<\/strong>, they may be located:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>limited to electric vehicles<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>in common areas shared with other technical systems<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>provided <strong>that<\/strong> such premises <strong>present a very low fire hazard<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>with <strong>a fire load of less than 100 MJ\/m\u00b2 in any case<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the only \u201cwindow\u201d identified in which coexistence can become feasible.<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"limiti-delleccezione-livello-1-sole-unita-elettriche-carico-dincendio\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Limits of the exception: Level 1, electrical units only, fire load<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The text makes it clear that admission to public spaces is not \u201cunrestricted,\u201d but is <strong>subject to certain limitations<\/strong>. Specifically, it clarifies that: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The application complies <strong>with UNI 10779<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is <strong>limited to the lowest hazard level (Level 1)<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These must be <strong>electrical units only<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the premises must remain at <strong>a very low fire risk<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>maximum fire load<\/strong> specified is <strong>100 MJ\/m2<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In other words: if even one of these conditions is not met, you are no longer within the scope of the exception as stated.<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"quando-si-applica-sempre-luso-esclusivo-tutti-gli-altri-casi\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">When exclusive use always applies (all other cases)<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The text is very clear on this point: <strong>in all other cases<\/strong>,<strong>the exclusive use<\/strong> specified in <strong>UNI EN 12845:2015<\/strong> applies.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, if your pump-set is <strong>not<\/strong> intended \u201csolely and exclusively\u201d to supply UNI 10779 networks, or if you do not fall under the lowest level and the conditions specified, the rule to follow remains that of a room dedicated exclusively to the pump-set and its accessories.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This conclusion is important because it prevents \u201cbroad\u201d interpretations of the exception: admissibility is not determined by analogy, but by whether the case corresponds to the one provided for.<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"attenzione-alimentazioni-idriche-combinate-sprinkler-idranti\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Caution: Combined water supply systems (sprinklers + fire hydrants)<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is another explicit point to note: <strong>in the case of combined water supply systems<\/strong>\u2014that is, systems that <strong>simultaneously supply both sprinkler systems and fire hydrants<\/strong>\u2014the provisions of UNI 10779 regarding location in common areas do not apply.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this case, it is clarified that <strong>the exclusive use requirement set forth in UNI EN 12845 applies<\/strong>. Therefore, the presence of the sprinkler system \u201creinstates\u201d the assessment based on the criterion of the room\u2019s exclusive use. <\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"requisiti-minimi-dei-locali-richiamo-alla-uni-11292-2019\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum requirements for premises: reference to UNI 11292:2019<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the \u201cexclusive room vs. common room\u201d distinction, the text notes that the <strong>minimum requirements<\/strong> specified in <strong>UNI 11292:2019<\/strong> apply <strong>to rooms housing pressurization units<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This step is useful for properly setting up the inspection: it is not enough to simply decide \u201cwhere people can be\u201d; one must also consider that the premises must comply with the minimum requirements set forth in the referenced standard.<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"checklist-pratica-decisione-rapida\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Practical Checklist (Quick Decision)<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below is a practical guide based exclusively on the criteria mentioned:<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Does the pump-set supply only systems designed and built in accordance with UNI 10779:2014?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If so, go to step 2.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Otherwise, apply for <strong>exclusive use<\/strong> (UNI EN 12845:2015).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Are you at the lowest threat level (Level 1) and using only electric vehicles?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If so, go to step 3.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Otherwise, apply for <strong>exclusive use<\/strong> (UNI EN 12845:2015).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Does the common area have a very low fire hazard and a fire load of &lt; 100 MJ\/m\u00b2?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If so, installation in a common area is <strong>permitted<\/strong> (UNI 10779, A.1.1).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Otherwise, apply for <strong>exclusive use<\/strong> (UNI EN 12845:2015).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Is the water supply a combination system (sprinklers + fire hydrants)?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If so, apply for <strong>exclusive use<\/strong> (UNI EN 12845).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 id=\"conclusione\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <em>water supply systems for non-exclusive use<\/em>, the coexistence of a pump-set and a water booster pump is not a \u201clayout\u201d choice, but a consequence of the applicable rules: <strong>the general rule for exclusive use (UNI EN 12845)<\/strong>, with <strong>a limited<\/strong> and conditional <strong>exception<\/strong> under <strong>UNI 10779<\/strong> (Level 1, electric units only, very low hazard, and <strong>fire load &lt; r 100 MJ\/m\u00b2<\/strong>).
