To further enhance guests’ comfort during their stay, the owners of Villa La Personala requested an on-site inspection and technical consultation aimed at installing an automatic mosquito control system. The goal was to find a permanent solution to a problem that is particularly prevalent in the area, while enhancing the gardens and outdoor spaces of the historic residence.

Client requirements

The client needed a solution that:

significantly and continuously reduce the presence of mosquitoes;
it were automatic, safe, and unobtrusive, without affecting the villa’s appearance;
would make the garden and outdoor spaces fully accessible to guests and staff;
ensure effective and predictable action over time.

Idroelettrica's proposal

Idroelettrica conducted an on-site inspection and provided consulting services, proposing an automated perimeter pest control system designed to be safe and effective. The solution includes:

automatic perimeter security system installed in the outdoor area;
atomizing nozzles placed at strategic locations;
nebulization of a solution consisting of water and a medical-surgical agent diluted to low concentrations;
Targeted application on hedges, flower beds, borders, pavers, walls, and other perimeter features to reduce the presence of insects in high-traffic areas;
Programmable control to optimize the effectiveness and consistency of treatments, based on seasonal conditions.

The Result

Thanks to the collaboration with the property owners and the technical decisions made, the project has achieved its goal: the villa’s outdoor spaces are now more pleasant and inviting, enhancing the guests’ experience and their enjoyment of the historic residence’s garden.
