Training for Designers
Idroelettrica Academy provides technical training designed to support fire protection designers and engineering firms seeking a practical, in-depth understanding of how fire pressurization pump sets operate and the main plant configurations. The courses combine theory and hands-on practice, covering component analysis and typical scenarios, with practical exercises on real fire pump sets to connect design decisions to operating dynamics and common use cases.
Key topics in the design phase include pump types, electrical and diesel package components, pump-set and jockey pumps (positive-suction and negative-suction configurations), installation criteria for both suction arrangements, system integrations and communications (e.g., Modbus), inverter concepts, and NFPA/FM standards with representative NFPA 20 components.
The courses are available in Italy and can be held at the Idroelettrica headquarters in S. Cesario sul Panaro (Modena) or via online sessions and traveling technical seminars, depending on the schedule and client requirements. No certificate is issued to designers; the certificate is reserved for maintenance technicians in presence.
