Case Study: L'aja della Mirusina

REQUIREMENT
As part of the restoration of the historic residence, the need arises for the upgrading of the existing fire-fighting system, equipping it with technologically advanced electrical control panels to make the system in step with the times, thus allowing the entire fire-fighting system to be monitored remotely by the owners and managers of the building.

IDROELETTRICA’S PROPOSAL
We have been called upon to intervene on the pre-existing fire-fighting system. We have maintained the existing water storage consisting of underground concrete tanks. The Electrical panels: EPRO ELECTRIC (which commands and controls the pumping units with electric pumps) and EPRO CONTROL (which has the task of remotely supervising the pumping units), have been integrated into the existing pumping station serving the distribution network that develops on the ground floor and then branches out into vertical columns to feed NASPI UNI25 present on the two floors of the residence. The system is independent of any drinking water supply network.
The sizing criteria adopted were derived from the rules of best practice.

THE RESULT
Thanks to the choices made, and to the collaboration with the trusted technician, responsible for the construction site, appointed by the owner, it was possible to recover part of the pre-existing system with considerable cost containment, thus making the pumping station serving the old residence safe and compliant with current legislation.
