TSC, headquartered in Algiers and with numerous branches in Algeria’s major ports (Annaba, Skikda, Djendjen, Bejaia, Mostaganem, Ghazaouat, Oran) and other inland locations (Setif, Constantine), required a pressurization solution designed to ensure proper water circulation in the heating and air conditioning systems of its new headquarters building. The goal was to achieve constant pressure control, energy efficiency, and operational reliability.

Client requirements

The customer requested a system capable of:

maintain constant pressure in heating and air conditioning systems;
keep operating costs down and reduce mechanical and electrical wear on the pumps;
be flexible with regard to different flow rates and operating heads;
ensure ease of use and integration with existing electrical panels.

Idroelettrica's proposal

Idroelettrica’s proposal for the use of inverters from the PUMPVAR family, which feature dedicated control for electric pumps in pressurization systems. Key elements of the solution:

installation of PUMPVAR inverters (available in 5 sizes) for feedback control of electric pumps;
closed-loop pressure control to maintain constant values regardless of flow rate and Head;
optimization of energy consumption through variable speed control;
improved mechanical and electrical service life of the pumps through soft starts and smooth adjustments;
Commissioning, on-site calibration, and training of local staff in operation and monitoring.

The Result

Idroelettrica’s proposal met the customer’s expectations: the PUMPVAR inverter-based pressurization system ensured stable pressure control, energy efficiency, and ease of use. The project facilitated the installation and subsequent operation of the system, representing a choice consistent with TSC’s client requirements.
