External modular water reserves

Outdoor Modular Water Reserves - Idroelettrica Spa

Outdoor cylindrical firefighting water reserve, monobloc S235JR steel tanks pressure-tested and protected with epoxy coatings, with provisions for level control and anti-vortex plate.

  • Tank capacity up to 850 m³

External cylindrical fire‑water storage reservoir is the ideal choice when a robust storage tank with cylindrical geometry and outdoor installation is required — easy to inspect and to integrate with fire‑fighting pump systems. Idroelettrica S.p.A. manufactures monobloc cylindrical tanks for outdoor installation, intended as fire‑water storage reservoirs, fabricated from Fe360B – S235JR steel (UNI EN 10025‑2) and supplied complete with handling fittings and plant connection accessories.
Welds are executed under qualified procedures by personnel certified to UNI EN 287/1, using IT‑SG3 welding wire to achieve high‑strength joints (up to 600 N/mm²). Each tank is tested at 1.5 bar and protected with specific anti-corrosion cycles: external two-component epoxy and internal grey two-component epoxy (for non-food use).
From a functional perspective and in compliance with good installation practices, the reserve can be equipped for continuous level monitoring and an anti-vortex plate, to limit the minimum head above suction and maximize the tank’s useful volume, in accordance with UNI EN 12845 standards. The design is supported by static and dynamic structural checks, with internal reinforcements sized by calculation, to ensure long-term stability and reliability under real service conditions.
