Verticalfire is a series of fire protection pump sets using Vertical Turbine Pumps (VTP) in an immersed axial-flow configuration, in accordance with UNI EN 12845 Art. 10.6.1. The design is ideal for installations featuring underground storage tanks with the pump room positioned above.

Verticalfire is a series of pressurization pump-sets for fire protection systems, featuring VTP (Vertical Turbine Pumps) in a submersed axial-flow configuration, as required by the UNI EN 12845 standard (see Section 10.6.1). The standard system layout features an underground storage tank with the pump room located directly above the water supply: a particularly effective design solution for optimizing space and ensuring reliable inlet performance.
The choice of Vertical Turbine Pumps ensures that the main pumps are always operated below the suction head, a condition favored by the rules and critical for operational stability. In practice, this configuration significantly reduces typical problems relatedto priming, “critical” inlet conditions, and performance losses due to suboptimal supply conditions. Furthermore, the design of the pressurization unit is intended to make access to its components more rational, improving on‑site management and long‑term maintenance. Thanks to this setup, Verticalfire is well suited for infrastructural and industrial contexts where uninterrupted fire protection service is essential, especially when the plant must integrate with an underground water reserve.
