Ciro Menotti Primary School

The Municipal Administration of Soliera requested the installation of a pressurization system with storage tank to bring the fire protection system of Ciro Menotti Primary School into compliance with the pressure requirements set forth by current regulations. The objective was to ensure reliability, safety, and continuity of service for the school building.

Client requirements

The existing system did not ensure the pressure characteristics required by fire protection standards. It was therefore necessary to:
  • install a pressurization system sized for the school facility;
  • integrate an adequate water reserve to ensure delivery and autonomy;
  • ensure structural design that considered snow loads, wind actions, and accidental actions (seismic);
  • comply with mandatory sector regulations for safety and durability.

Idroelettrica's proposal

Idroelettrica’s specialists proposed the FIREBRAKE fire protection module, designed in accordance with the designer’s requirements. Main characteristics of the supply:
  • FIREBRAKE module with pressurization system compliant with sector regulations (UNI EN 12845).
  • Three integrated storage tanks of 2,000 L each (total 6,000 L) manufactured with galvanized parallelepiped tanks for fire protection use.
  • Structural design that considers variable snow loads, dynamic wind actions, and accidental seismic actions, in full compliance with current standards.
  • Connection and integration with the existing system, with internal piping in the tanks to prevent freezing issues and ensure reliability under critical weather conditions.
  • Solution designed to maximize technical/economic efficiency and reduce installation time and costs.

The Result

The FIREBRAKE solution proved to be the best technical/economic option for Ciro Menotti Primary School. The system now ensures:
  • pressure and flow rate compliant with fire protection regulations;
  • adequate water reserve protected against freezing;
  • structure designed for snow, wind, and seismic loads;
  • improved safety and continuity of service for students and staff.
