An Idroelettrica S.p.A. fire-fighting system at the service of the new Logistics Centre of ROSSETTO GROUP in San Giorgio di Mantova

Requirement
In the development plan of the Rossetto Group, the entry into operation of the new distribution centre that the company had planned to build in San Giorgio di Bigarello, in the province of Mantua, was fundamental.
An important real estate investment for the creation of a logistics centre of 70 thousand square metres, built on an area of 200 thousand square metres.

The logistics platform includes some warehouses for the storage of products at room temperature and at controlled temperature (cold rooms), a fully automated self-supporting silo for storage, and a building to support warehouse activities. The complexity of the structure and the value of the goods that would be stored there required the integration of an adequate fire protection system for sprinklers and hydrants, powered by a fire pumping station of suitable size that guaranteed the high performance required and maximum reliability over time.

IDROELETTRICA S.p.A.’s proposal
Idroelettrica S.p.A., in close collaboration with the design studio, after analysing the technical requirements that had to be guaranteed, proposed as the best possible solution the FIREBOX, a pre-assembled, complete and autonomous modular fire protection system, compliant with the UNI11292 Standard, containing pumping units to UNI EN 12845 STANDARDS.
One of the main advantages of the FIREBOX solution is that of having all of the walls completely openable to allow total accessibility, therefore making routine and non-routine maintenance simple and quick.
The FIREBOX system is controlled by a series of dedicated electrical panels with EPRO control of the electronic control board.

THE RESULT
Fire protection is an extremely important aspect in logistics centres, where the types of goods stores is of various nature. The use of quality components used in the ad hoc fire-fighting system, in compliance with the highest technical-regulatory standards, has guaranteed a result of full satisfaction in terms of safety, responding to the performance requirements that emerged during the design phase. Idroelettrica confirms itself as the right technological partner to guarantee the customer a winning solution in terms of competitiveness and safety.
