Pressurisation system to ensure the fresh water supply

Grilli Clarice was founded in 1961 as a trading company for fruit and vegetables from local crops, the sale of which was mainly aimed at commercial and export markets. Over the years, it has increasingly specialised in the processing and marketing of beans and legumes for fresh consumption, organising its structures, machinery and personnel to this activity and establishing supply relationships with qualified companies, both in Italy and abroad.

Requirement
To give continuity to production in the winter period, Grilli Clarice has become a Partner of Miname Sarl, a Senegalese company, which is followed with the company's Company Policy from sowing to harvesting, ensuring, with the appropriate programming, the consistency and regularity of supplies. The installation of our pressurisation systems was part of a production drilling intervention aimed at guaranteeing the supply of fresh water to an agricultural area located to the west of the village of NdiayeBop, specifically, of MINAME SARL (Mont Rollant – Thies region).

IDROELETTRICA’S proposal
Following the conduct of pumping tests suitable for the evaluation of the water resource of the structure and to know the effects of pumping through the characteristics of the aquifer, the work to be performed was determined.
The supply includes a kW132 electric pump and a connected electrical control panel with kW 160 inverter with sinusoidal filter and pressure transducer.

The result
On Senegalese public land, granted to private individuals, an artesian well was built that meets the required water performance of 250 m3/h at 140 mt of prevalence. The purchase of the pumps supplied by Idroelettrica has allowed the company to save more energy, also guaranteeing other advantages in terms of lower maintenance, as the inverter improves performance by extending the life of the system. In fact, the new well was able to support the increase in water needs resulting from the planting of new crops.
Idroelettrica’s intervention contributed to the customer's goal of improving the possibilities of social and economic development in that country.
