QUESTION
If a pre-assembled fire-fighting unit or prefabricated space is supplied, must the manufacturer issue the declaration of correct installation according to DM37/2008?
ANSWER
In the attached slide, the list of documents necessary for correctly certifying a prefabricated fire-fighting system, with metallic load-bearing structure made in the workshop
Of course, in the case of a pressurisation unit only (without prefabricated space), the documents are reduced to the first and last of the list.
So, the answer to the question is: yes.
The manufacturer of the unit must also issue the declaration according to 37/08, because in addition to the pump-set, hydraulic and electrical parts are supplied and installed by the manufacturer, which are pertaining to the system.
